1.Agnigarh
Agnigarh Hill in Tezpur is one of the most visited tourist places that hold mythological as well as historical importance in Assam. Agnigarh is the most popular tourist place and in the city of Tezpur. Agnigarh Hill is a hilltop located in Tezpur, Assam and is among the popular tourist places. The hilltop also holds immense importance in Hindu mythology. Agnigarh’s name is derived from words which mean “fire” and “fortress".
2.Mahabhairav Temple
Mahabhairav Temple is a Hindu temple in Tezpur city of Assam. This historic temple enshrines Lord Shiva. The temple is a beautifully built structure in Tezpur. Many devotees visit this temple in large numbers, making it one of the most-visited tourist places in Tezpur. It is said that this temple was built by the Asura King Banasura, and the Shivalinga inside is built from a 'Living Stone' that slowly grows with age.
3.Bhairavi Temple
Situated on the right bank of the Brahmaputra River. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu stood at the centre, with four other temples for Lord Shiva at the corners. The architectural style of the ruins and standing figures and sculptures are reminiscent of the Panchayatana style.
4.Cole Park
One of the best places to visit in Tezpur is the famous Cole Park or Chitralekha Udyan. The combination of greenery and ancient arts in this park will amaze you with your every step. This park was built by then-commissioned Mr. Cole in 1906. The Chitralekha Udyan or Cole Park is situated between green terrains, and blue lakes, making it even better for the visitors. The park is open for tourists between 9 am to 7 pm.
5.Kolia Bhomora Setu
Kolia Bhomora Setu connects Tezpur in the Sonitpur district to Kaliabor in the Nagaon district.It is 3 kilometres long and joining the southern and northern banks of the Brahmaputra River.
6.Orang National Park
Orang National park is established as sanctuary in 1985 and declared as a national park in 1999.It covers an area of 72 sq kms.Orang national park is about 150 kms from Guwahati and 31 kms from Tezpur.
7.Bamuni Hill
Bamuni hill is one of the best places to visit in Tezpur and attract tourist.Bamuni Hills is located in Tezpur on the right side of the Brahmaputra River.You can enjoy the panoramic views, cool breezes, calm atmosphere, and vibe of ancient times. Currently, the area is under the Archaeological Study of India (ASI). Moreover, the architecture and carving on the walls of these ruins have shown similarities to those of the Gupta Period.
