Day by day

  1. Day 1Arrive Agartala

    Into Agartala for Ujjayanta Palace — the old royal seat, white and colonnaded around a set of formal gardens and tanks — and the Heritage Park beside it.

  2. Day 2Unakoti & Neermahal

    Out to Unakoti, where enormous faces of Shiva and rows of gods are cut straight into a jungle rock face, moss-covered and mostly unexplained, dated to somewhere around the eighth century. Then Neermahal, a water palace built out in the middle of a lake and reached by boat.

  3. Day 3Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, Departure

    Sepahijala in the morning, then departure.
