Day by day

  1. Day 1Guwahati to Shillong

    Three hours up from Guwahati into cool air and pine. Ward's Lake in the middle of Shillong, Police Bazar in the evening when the whole town is out, and nothing else asked of you.

  2. Day 2Cherrapunjee Sightseeing

    A full day in Cherrapunjee — Nohkalikai dropping in one long plunge into a jade pool, Mawsmai Cave lit and walkable through the limestone, and the Seven Sisters strung white across the cliff opposite.

  3. Day 3Elephant Falls, Umiam Lake & Departure

    Elephant Falls on the way down, stepping through the rock in three drops, and Umiam Lake spread blue between the ridges, before Guwahati and departure.
