  2. Day 2Kohima Sightseeing

The War Cemetery above the town, terraced and quiet, with a headstone for each of the men who held this ridge in 1944. Then Kisama, where every Naga tribe keeps a morung built and carved in its own style, and the State Museum.

  3. Day 3Dzukou Valley Trek

A full day trekking into Dzukou Valley — steep out of the treeline, then a green so even it looks combed, dwarf bamboo rolling over the hills with a stream cut through the middle, and the valley's own lily flowering in season.
