Day by day

  1. Day 1Arrive Dubai

    A Marina cruise with dinner, towers lit on both banks. It is the right way to arrive.

  2. Day 2Dubai City Tour

    The Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall, and the Fountain show once it is dark — the tallest building in the world and the crowd below it, both doing their thing.

  3. Day 3Desert Safari

    Dune bashing over the red sand, a camel ride, and a BBQ dinner out at a desert camp under a sky with rather more stars in it than the city suggested.

  4. Day 4Theme Park Day

    A whole day for IMG Worlds of Adventure, one of the largest indoor theme parks anywhere — or Global Village if you are travelling between November and April, when it opens as a sprawl of pavilions from eighty countries.

  5. Day 5Abu Dhabi Day Trip

    Abu Dhabi for the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, all white marble and inlaid flowers, and a walk along the Corniche afterwards.

  6. Day 6Departure

    Whatever shopping is still undone, then the airport.
