Zemithang : An offbeat place of Arunachal

The village of Zemithang is an offbeat and calm village of Arunachal Pradesh.This village is known for its vast golden cultivable lands, open valleys and majestic mountains. Zemithang (‘zemi’ means sand and ‘thang’ means plain land)  literally means a land washed away by the river.Zemithang is a village close to nature in all aspects.It is home  to  Red Panda, Asian Black Bear, Musk Deer, and the Black-necked Crane bird which migrates here during the winters.

How to reach

From Tawang, it is 3 hours journey by road, the distance being 90 km approx . Buses ply from Tawang to Zemithang.You can also hire a cab and explore Zemithang freely.
